Due to the growing population of our school, it has been a challenge to accommodate more than one grade level whenever the store is open.
The PTA has devised the following schedule on Tuesdays and Thursdays during breakfast (8:45 – 9 AM) for the next few months until the excitement surrounding the store subsides, at which point we can resume doubling up grade-levels to shop later this winter.
Tuesday, Dec. 6th – Kindergarten
Thursday, Dec. 8th – Grade 5
Tuesday, Dec. 13th – Grade 1
Thursday, Dec. 15th – Grade 3
Tuesday, Dec. 20th - Grade 2 (rotation begins again)
Thursday, Dec. 22nd – Grade 4
We realize the schedule above, in terms of grade layout, is not linear. It was set up to give Grades 2, 4, and K an opportunity at shopping first, since they have been impacted most by the recent challenges relating to maintaining popular stock -- or due to time running out to shop before school begins. (It also follows along with the initial rotation that had grade levels doubled up based upon sizes.)
A morning text will be sent out by Mr. Galligan, our Principal, so parents are reminded of their child’s shopping day during the initial few weeks as this rotating schedule pans out. (The school events calendar online has also been updated with this information here, and Mr. Galligan will provide reminders in his "Weekly Wildcat" newsletter on Thursdays, so parents can quickly check whenever they forget.)
Our sincere thanks to the PTA for their oversight and management of this fun incentive for the kids! It has certainly been a challenge to navigate the bumps upon reopening and we appreciate their dedication!
