Valentines

Join us for a fun-filled day on Friday, February 14th at Warwick Neck School!

The following information was sent to families through the "Weekly Wildcat" email newsletter on Thursday, February 13th. They have been bulleted for your convenience.

1.) Valentine's Themed Dress Down Day

-- Faculty, staff, and students are (optionally) invited to wear red, pink, and white clothing on Friday, February 14th to show how much they LOVE Warwick Neck School in honor of Valentine’s Day!

-- Students are welcome to wear school colors next Wednesday if they do not wish to partake in the Valentine’s theme to the day.

2.) Classroom Celebrations - Cards,  Candy and Treat Protocols

-- At the individual classroom teacher’s discretion, students are welcome to bring in valentines or cards for their class, provided that everyone receives one to avoid hurt feelings, on Valentines Day - Friday, February 14th.

--  Due to the various allergies that exist, candy-based valentines are discouraged. However, any treat associated with the valentine should be in its original wrapper that allows for it to be brought and opened at home with parent-approval. Candy or treat-based valentines cannot be consumed in school.

--  IMPORTANT: For the above allergy, health, and safety-related reasons, unwrapped candy - and any baked goods or any homemade treats - cannot be sent into school for sharing (example: cupcakes, donuts, donut holes, etc.). If these items are sent in they will be set aside and politely sent home with the child who brought them or discarded at the end of the day. There are no exceptions to this for safety reasons. Thank you!
