Teachers of the Year

Each year, district officials ask schools for nominations to be brought forth for District Teacher of the Year. Nominees are carefully considered using a variety of factors including - but not limited to: innovative classroom instruction, differentiation for students of all abilities, collaboration with colleagues, involvement with the community, and support for families, just to name a few.

We are very proud that Warwick Neck has not one, but TWO, nominees! Mrs. Catherine Maguire, 2nd Grade Teacher, was nominated by Warwick Neck School - and Ms. Jodi O’Rourke, 3rd Grade Teacher, (who comes to us from Oakland Beach School this year), was nominated by former colleagues!

Both educators were honored on Wednesday evening, September 11, 2024 at the monthly meeting of the Warwick School committee (pictured above), with their families present to share in the celebration. We are proud of ALL of our teachers, but most especially the two above. Thank you to Mrs. Maguire and Ms. O’Rourke for all they do all throughout the year!
