As we have done in years past, we would like to give our Kindergarten families an additional, optional opportunity to meet their child's assigned teacher in advance of the first day to help support our potentially nervous kindergarteners.
Please join us, outside, in back of the school - off Rocky Point Avenue on Tuesday, August 27 at 1 PM to meet Mrs. Morrissette, Mrs. Wade, and Mrs. Mollock, while dropping off school supplies, signing paperwork, and hearing important information about the first day and year ahead.
The visit is intended to be a brief visit, in addition to what was offered back in May, while allowing families to drop by with their child if they choose.
Please note: Due the necessary property work and construction that is slated to be finished in advance of the first day, our K classrooms, corridors, and school playground are closed to visitors on Tuesday, August 27th.
Parents and families will be given an opportunity, in the days that follow, to see the classroom and school at our Fall Open House / Back to School & "Meet the Teachers" Night (tentatively) in three weeks on Tuesday, September 17th at 6 PM. More information is forthcoming as we settle into our school year.
On Tuesday, August 27th, we encourage families to make connections, share contact info, or connect with each other on the PTA Facebook page to arrange mutually convenient play date times at area playgrounds outside of school in advance of, on, and/or after the first day to help our newest wildcats make friends. Please know, too, that we are gearing up for an exciting year of events and gatherings planned in collaboration with our PTA. Be on the lookout for these family social opportunities very soon!
