Devin Manzo, a senior at the Warwick Career and Technical Center, received the “Ronald D’s Career, Trade, and Technical” scholarship to help defray the costs of special tools and equipment necessary for him to continue his journey of becoming a licensed electrician. This scholarship was established and presented to Devin by Kathryn Newman, a retired Toll Gate High School teacher, in memory of her husband, Ronald D. Newman, a career tradesman and master electrician.
This fund was created to provide financial assistance to students and graduates of the Warwick Area Career and Technical Center, Warwick, Rhode Island, to continue their studies and careers in the trades. This scholarship is established under the Eastern Star Foundation of Rhode Island, Inc. This is the first year the scholarship has been awarded to any student, and hopefully, it will continue to assist many more well-deserving students. Congratulations, Devin!
