Dear Veterans School parents and guardians,
As identified on the School District calendar and explained in a recent District message, tomorrow, Monday, May 9th, is an “Anytime Distance Learning Day” (rather than in-person learning). This will still be a school day, but it will NOT take place on an in-person basis, because teachers will be participating in professional development tomorrow.
To receive credit for school attendance tomorrow, students must respond by 9:30 AM to the Google form that will be emailed directly to them at approximately 7:30 AM. Students must also complete whatever assignments are provided for them by each of their classroom teachers in order to get attendance credit for the day. Students do not need to follow a specific class period schedule to do so. Some students might find it helpful to give themselves a schedule, but that decision will be up to each student and parent.
Students should look to each teacher’s Google Classroom for assignments; however, if for some reason no such information is available for a given class, students will be expected to work on the most appropriate MyPath learning program for that class.
There will be no on-site after-hours practices, events, or activities unless a teacher or coach has specifically told their students otherwise.
Students and parents, please communicate any questions about a class or about classroom assignments with the teacher. More general questions about attendance, etc, should come to main office personnel. Here are those email addresses:
For attendance questions/concerns: jo-ann.savage@warwickschools.org
For other general questions/concerns: jean.hough@warwickschools.org joseph.coffey@warwickschools.org
Thank you, and have a great evening.
